What happens is that you feel an emotion, that you feel depressed or that you are rejected. It's NOT a thrill. It's intellectual. You thought you were sad, depressed and rejected. That is why it is so difficult to change and to be positive and encouraged to go on, because it's not true emotion, because you think you have an emotion intellectually. It's impossible to fix because you think it's an emotion when it's a thinking in real terms.
This is so important since it limits our lives without our knowledge. We think we feel, but we don't feel that we just think. This exercise is exactly how we prove it and how we correct it. The intention of talking with a girl is that you can talk with her, but you think, "If I talk with a girl, you need to go with me, that is the point of talking; if not, then I have failed and I am sorry." In our intellectual aspect, we can feel an emotion. We learn about the intellectual, emotional and moving centers in All IS Mind course and book. Each center is divided into three parts. What happened is you went to an intellectual exercise, and said "I must ask a little girl out" and said "no" intellectually, so intellectually you did not, and you have an emotion in your intellectual center.
Whereas, if you are in the emotional center you could be conscious without thinking that you are highly self-conceited and shy – you feel lower – so that you talk with a girl to allow yourself to be free, so it is pure emotion that you have the courage to talk to someone and that is why you do this exercise so that your heart can be open and not scared. The intellect is like the heart's shell or armor - its bodyguard. It keeps it all out. The mind protects the heart because it's too sensitive.
This exercise allows your heart to open up and speak sincerely about what you feel to a girl and how she answers doesn't matter. You say what you feel. You say. You let your heart talk. You have achieved your objective to speak freely. In fact, you cannot be rejected because you are successful already, because the spiritual or higher emotional heart gives only and feels love and does not have to receive something back. The intellectual heart needs something back to feel happy. And here is the definition of a real emotion against an intellectual emotion. To give for the sake of giving or giving in hope or what you receive.
Think this way: there's God and there's people. A little piece of God that is our spiritual heart, our highest emotional centre, is what makes a man special. This means that it is this little piece of God within me that speaks when I speak from my heart. Let me ask you a question, what does God want or need, the original source of everything? God needs nothing, it is perfect. God needs nothing. This piece of God that is in my heart, that only wants to tell a girl: "I think you're very lovely, looking in your beautiful eyes makes me feel happy, for I think you're a lovely person." It is just love from the voice of my heart that is perfect God.
It needs nothing. It needs nothing. Her answer is irrelevant. It doesn't matter, because you need nothing else than to give what you feel - to let it go. You can't fail to talk from the heart. Since we are stuck in the intellectual center, you may not always feel that emotion but that doesn't matter. Speak to every girl at all times, get your intellect accustomed to speaking to strangers freely and release their thick walls that cover your heart and one day you will feel and speak confidently.
If we truly live from the center of emotion, we speak from that part of God within ourselves at that time and we may not feel sad or any other negative emotions. Christ can't get depressed. It doesn't make sense to do that. If you tell a girl something and are saddened by her response, that shows that you're in the emotional aspect of the intellectual center, so your emotion is only intellectual – that's in your mind, it's not really an emotion. You just think it's an emotion, so we become sad. That's why you may feel timid or uneasy - you just think - you might think that you feel, but that you really think.
You may say "I see, this is intellectual as I want the girl to produce a result - but if I really speak from my heart just to give her the gift of words to make her smile, without wishing anything back then, I am speaking truly from my heart and emotional center and I cannot get blessed. The day that you can do is the day you are free. That's the day you finish. Then you are really balanced - you are alive from the heart - and after that you can never get hurt. You can't get upset if you just come back to think you feel. Maybe we can achieve this once, but it doesn't mean it's permanent. You must continue to work because in a second you don't become perfect.
